When we think of superheroes, we don’t often think of them cruising the streets of Santiago, Chile. As it turns out, however, there is a real-life superhero that is more than someone that wears a cape and fights crime. He is busy passing out food to the homeless population in the city and he does it regularly.
This Batman with a face mask may not have a Batmobile, but his SUV has plenty of hot meals. He also looks the part, wearing a cape and two masks, one that you would expect on Batman and the other to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
He calls himself the “Solidarity Batman” according to the Good News Network and he is helping those in Chile who have been dealing with a long lockdown. Some of them have been severely hit by the coronavirus.
On the surface, you can see him delivering food but he does much more. He also passes out some kind words and humor to help cheer up those who may be going through difficult times.
The reason why he uses a Batman outfit is for that very reason. He wants people to feel a sense of togetherness and it cheers people up.
He told Reuters: “Look around you, see if you can dedicate a little time, a little food, a little shelter, a word sometimes of encouragement to those who need it.”

Another way that he is similar to Bruce Wayne is the fact that he wants his real identity to be anonymous. It really doesn’t matter who the man is behind the mask, however, he delivers both a meal and a message. We could use more people like this in the world.
