68 billion pounds of food each year go to waste. Much of this is comprised of perfectly good meals discarded after the school day or big events. Meanwhile, millions of Americans go hungry each day. In a perfect world, we’d be able to take the step of giving this untouched, fresh food to those who need it, instead of putting it into a dumpster for the rats and garbage trucks.
